Teachers should not just supervise...but observe.

Teachers should not only teach math and science lessons...but life lessons

Teachers should leave their own problems at home...while helping the students that bring theirs to school.

Teachers should remember that it is better to have character than to be one.

Got any others?

I like those.  How about this one:

Teachers should teach fairness, patience, and compassion by demonstrating those values each day during their interactions with their students.

Teachers should certainly teach life lessons and interaction with others is definitely important . They are with students for most of the day and they are the ones who see their capabilities

Those are great! Teachers have so much knowledge to impress on our children- from the textbook and from the heart.  A child that has a teacher to give them great memories besides just grades is fortunate in the fact they can look back and smile.  For some children unfortantely that may be the only memory to smile at.  A great teacher early on can form the rest of a childs opinion on education.

I agree. I think that ethics and morals should be taught in the classroom as part of the regular curriculum. There are a lot of resources and materials the teachers can use to help teach what is proper. Yes, "math and science lessons" are necessary but more focus needs to be placed on teaching what is right vs what is wrong.
