Would you ever consider adopting a child? Why or why not? I’ve been considering this for a while now. It’s not that I’m not capable of having my own children, but I’ve always thought of adoption as a very admirable thing to do, and I want to be a good role model.

Just curious what you think some pros and cons are….

I would definitely adopt a child.  There are too many children out there that aren’t lucky enough to have their parents raise them.  They get stuck in foster homes..which may turn out for the better and other times for the worse.  Kids get abused all the time.  If I had the financial security, I would definitely bring a child into my home.

This is a very touchy subject for most people.  It is always a good option to adopt. I’ve heard terrible stories about kids in foster homes and it just brings me to tears.  There’s actually a movie I’ve seen commercials for recently about the American foster care system with Rosie O’Donnell..this is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGy34G0bQjw

This is great! The movie you speak of is based on a book I read called "America" by E.R Frank. He is a wonderful author...has anyone else read his novels?  I'm going to have to watch this tommorow! Thanks for the tip! I found some links of my own too, with interviews from the cast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPt1ZMr_308

Soooo...I saw the movie last night, it was pretty good. I wouldnt say it was out of this world or anything, but considering there are so little movies about foster care and the system, I thought it was worth seeing. Anyone else get to see it?

Well to start off with, there has been a lot of buzz about a possible upcoming Pirates 4th and most of us have shared our feelings about the matter. Now I have one question...if Disney did make a 4th would you go and see it???

I would love to adopt a child and raise him. It would be one of the greatest things done by me.
